Glucomannan in Capsules - HSN provides what you're looking for
Glucomannan by RawSeries is our new food supplement from the '100% PURE' line within our RAW brand. It is made solely from pure, highly concentrated Konjac bulb extract, standardised to 95% glucomannan, a type of soluble fibre packed with properties.
The novelty of this product is that glucomannan joins other products like Caffeine CaffXtend® in our global innovation: RAW Capsules. How so? These are products made exclusively with the pure active compound that we aim to offer, but in capsule form, with only the capsule coating as an additional ingredient.
Enjoy a pure food supplement with all the benefits of Glucomannan, in RAW capsule format, suitable for vegan and gluten-free diets.
A formula from our Raw Series brand - Now in vegetable capsules
Additive-free formula - Authentic RAW, so you get exactly what you want and nothing more
Our HSN - RawSeries brand was born with a clear idea:
To offer pure products, the authentic raw material in unmodified forms for retail sale.
We realised that while most people enjoy our deliciously flavoured formulas, some users prefer isolated raw materials. They may avoid flavoured supplements or want to customise their dosage and combinations to meet specific needs.
This led to the creation of RAW, a range from HSN designed to bring you only the pure compounds you wish to use, without flavours, additives, formulas, or blends; just the pure raw material, packaged in convenient formats for individual use.
Until now, these products have been presented in powder form due to the difficulty of preparing capsules without additives. However, our development team has continued to push boundaries:
Introducing 100% PURE! A reinforcement of the RAW concept, bringing you the first pure developments without additives, in capsule form.
Development of highly concentrated vegetable capsules - How is it achieved?
Food supplements in capsules typically contain a significant amount of additives.
At HSN, we have rejected this from the start, and all our own capsule and tablet developments within the Essential and Sport Series ranges have been manufactured with the fewest possible additives, always avoiding those used for aesthetic reasons.
However, our encapsulated products still contain small amounts of additives that help distribute the nutrients in the capsule, fill it, preserve it by preventing clumping, etc.
Thanks to our expert development team, we've carefully selected the best raw materials and manufacturing processes, enabling us to create a new series of products: 100% Pure capsules from our Raw range, offering you exactly what you need in a more convenient form.
Natural-origin Glucomannan - Standardised Konjac extract
Glucomannan is a natural fibre found abundantly in the Amorphophallus konjac plant, particularly in the bulb of the plant’s root.
There, it develops as one of the naturally occurring fibres, and from there it can be extracted for food supplements.
In our product, we have used a highly concentrated extract (20:1) of pure Konjac bulb, standardised to 95% glucomannan, so that the recommended daily dose of our supplement, 2842.1mg of Konjac extract (3 vegetable capsules), provides a total of 2700mg of glucomannan.
A high natural concentration of this fibre.
Gluten-free - 100% free of prolamins and suitable for coeliacs
Many dietary fibres come from gluten-containing cereals, such as oats, wheat, rye, or barley.
This is problematic because not all fibres share the same properties. Glucomannan is a unique fibre with specific benefits that you won’t find in the cereals mentioned above.
The major issue with many glucomannan products on the market is that the raw material is contaminated with gluten-containing cereals, at least by cross-contamination.
Our 100% pure glucomannan supplement is entirely gluten-free. We carefully selected the raw material to ensure the Konjac extract is free from any contact or cross-contamination with gluten-containing cereals.
Enjoy a convenient glucomannan supplement, entirely suitable for coeliacs and non-allergic gluten-intolerant individuals.
Learn more about this fibre: Glucomannan
Glucomannan is a type of water-soluble fibre composed of a straight chain of β-1→4 units of D-mannose and D-glucose in a 1.6:1 ratio, with a small amount of branching (8%) via β-(1→6)-glucosyl bonds.
It is obtained from the tuberous roots of the konjac plant (Amorphophallus konjac). Glucomannan is not digestible in the human small intestine.
It has a high molecular weight (200-2000 kDa) and high viscosity in aqueous solution. Glucomannan does not occur naturally in foods, so the way to use it is through food supplements.
Glucomannan properties - A natural fibre
Glucomannan has significant technological properties that make it unique, especially its high gelling capacity. When mixed with water, it forms a gel or paste, which is why many people prefer taking glucomannan in capsules for easier consumption.
Practical instructions for use - Use it with meals and enjoy its benefits
To take advantage of the effects produced by glucomannan, the recommendation is to use it before meals, so that the effects of this type of fibre can be utilised just before food intake.
Take 1 vegetable capsule before each meal. With just 3 capsules per day (breakfast - lunch - dinner), you obtain a total dose of 2700mg of pure natural Konjac glucomannan.
