Evoendurance – HSN's latest intra-workout drink
Evoendurance from SportSeries is a flavoured powdered food preparation based on carbohydrates and minerals.
Evoendurance is an intra-workout drink specifically formulated to support athletic performance during demanding endurance sessions. Its exclusive combination of advanced carbohydrates and specific electrolytes is designed to provide energy, promote hydration and support muscle function during prolonged exertion.
Light, unsweetened and with mild flavours, Evoendurance is the perfect choice for those looking to take their intra-workout nutrition to the next level.
What is Evoendurance for?
Evoendurance is designed to be your ally during prolonged physical exercise, especially in endurance disciplines such as cycling, running, trail, triathlon or intense training sessions. Its main function is to provide energy during prolonged efforts, and contribute to proper rehydration and electrolyte replenishment, thanks to its carbohydrate and mineral content.
Carbohydrates contribute to the recovery of normal muscle function (contraction) after intense or prolonged physical exercise leading to muscle fatigue and depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle.2
Additionally, the magnesium provided by Evoendurance contributes to normal energy metabolism, electrolyte balance and normal muscle function, as well as to reducing tiredness and fatigue. Chloride, on the other hand, supports normal digestion through the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, an important aspect in rehydration and refuelling around training.
Altogether, Evoendurance is much more than a carbohydrate drink: it's a formula developed to help with your performance, optimise energy supply and care for your electrolyte balance during your toughest sessions.
Advanced composition for performance
Scientifically selected ingredients
The Evoendurance formula has been designed with a precise selection of functional ingredients whose importance is backed by years of use in advanced sports nutrition with high-level athletes. It's not a generic mix like you might find in other commercial intra-workout drinks, but a strategic combination of technological carbohydrates and specific electrolytes, aimed at optimising performance, absorption and tolerance during prolonged exercise.
The main ingredients include:
- Isomaltulose.
- Highly branched cyclic dextrin.
- Trehalose.
These carbohydrates are complemented with crystalline fructose, which allows for an ideal glucose:fructose ratio (1:0.8) to maximise exogenous carbohydrate oxidation.
Additionally, Evoendurance incorporates essential electrolytes in functional doses:
- Sodium.
- Chloride.
- Magnesium in the form of malate, highly bioavailable.
Each ingredient has been chosen not only for its individual relevance but for its ability to work synergistically within the Evoendurance complex, which we can confidently say is 'unrivalled' in meeting the challenges of endurance sports.
Internationally recognised patents
One of Evoendurance's greatest differentiating values is our commitment to superior quality raw materials, backed by patented technology and specifically developed for high-performance sports nutrition.
Palatinose™ (Isomaltulose): is a functional disaccharide with slow release, developed by Beneo GmbH, that provides stable and prolonged energy. Its molecular structure allows for gradual absorption. Thanks to its low glycaemic index and high digestive tolerance, it's an excellent carbohydrate for endurance sports where energy efficiency and stability are sought.

Cluster Dextrin™ (Highly Branched Cyclic Dextrin): developed by Glico Nutrition, is a highly branched cyclic dextrin that stands out for its superior solubility and ultra-fast gastric emptying. This allows for an efficient energy supply even during high-intensity sessions, without causing digestive discomfort or a feeling of heaviness. Its technical profile makes it one of the most advanced carbohydrates for intra-workout use, especially in prolonged or highly demanding physical activities.

Enduracarb™ (Trehalose): is the patented form of trehalose developed by Nagase Viita Co., Ltd. This low glycaemic index disaccharide combines excellent intestinal tolerance with a balanced energy release, ideal for long-duration efforts. Besides its functional value, it provides a mild natural sweetness that enhances the product's organoleptic profile, avoiding the use of sweeteners. Evoendurance is HSN's first product to include this patent, marking a milestone in the formulation of next-generation technical drinks.

We have chosen these registered raw materials because they faithfully represent values common to our brand: trust in research, innovation and quality control. Thanks to the specific formulation we have developed, we can ensure that each prepared drink of Evoendurance meets the real needs of the most demanding athletes. Using these ingredients not only improves the product's quality but also reflects our commitment to excellence in formulating the most cutting-edge R&D products.
A functional drink
Evoendurance is not just a carbohydrate drink; it's an intra-workout drink developed with a clear purpose: to revolutionise peri-workout nutrition.
Each component of the formula serves a specific function to support the athlete during prolonged exertion: carbohydrates provide efficient energy; minerals help maintain electrolyte balance and muscle function (magnesium); and its light texture along with the sweetness without sweeteners ensure an easy-to-drink experience, tested with our high-level athletes. All this in a specific formula with a clear value proposition: real functionality, designed for genuine athletes.
Trehalose (Enduracarb™): What is it and why do we use it?
Trehalose is a disaccharide composed of two glucose molecules, known for its moderate glycaemic profile, excellent stability, and high digestive tolerance, even under prolonged exertion. In Evoendurance, we use a patented form of this carbohydrate: Enduracarb™, developed specifically for sports nutrition applications.
What makes trehalose special is its ability to release energy gradually, but solely from glucose molecules (unlike isomaltulose). This translates into improved intra-workout energy supply.
Additionally, trehalose provides a mild and natural sweetness, eliminating the need for sweeteners in the formula. This not only enhances Evoendurance's organoleptic profile but also makes it easier to consume, without causing dry mouth or cloying sensations.
Evoendurance is the first HSN product to incorporate this patent, marking a turning point not only in our intra-workout drink category but also in the broader market of such preparations, as we are pioneers in using trehalose in sports drinks.
Glucose:Fructose Ratio 1:0.8 – What Science Says
The choice of a glucose:fructose ratio of 1:0.8 in Evoendurance is no coincidence: it is based on solid scientific evidence demonstrating that this proportion maximises carbohydrate absorption and utilisation during exercise.
During prolonged physical activity, the body uses consumed carbohydrates as an immediate energy source. However, intestinal glucose absorption is limited by the capacity of the SGLT1 transporter. By adding fructose, which is absorbed via the GLUT5 transporter, it's possible to utilise two distinct intestinal absorption pathways, significantly increasing the amount of carbohydrates the body can oxidise per hour (Jeukendrup, 2010).
A key study found that a glucose:fructose ratio equivalent to 1:0.8 resulted in the best exogenous carbohydrate oxidation, as well as greater physical performance and less gastrointestinal discomfort compared to other lower or higher ratios (O'Brien & Rowlands, 2011). This sparked a line of research supporting the use of this ratio in intra-workout drinks, even attracting the interest of Jeukendrup himself.
This combination, thanks to optimised absorption, also allows for higher carbohydrate intake without compromising tolerance or digestive comfort, especially in long-duration activities.
Evoendurance vs Other HSN Intra-Workout Drinks
At HSN, we offer various carbohydrate and electrolyte drink preparations for use during exercise, each with a distinct functional focus. Evoendurance, Evotonic, and Evocarbs share the goal of maintaining performance and supporting energy metabolism during physical exertion, but their composition and objectives present key differences.
- Evoendurance is intended for long endurance sessions or those with high energy demands. A preparation with higher tonicity than Evotonic or Evocarbs 2.0.
- Evocarbs 2.0 is our versatile 'on-the-road' isotonic drink, ideal for shorter endurance sessions or lower specific needs.
- Evotonic is an enriched version with proteins and amino acids of Evocarbs 2.0, recommended as an isotonic drink for longer sessions, with higher heat or humidity.
The ideal choice will depend on the type of session, duration, and your goal. None is inherently better than the others; each offers distinct properties for specific needs based on your discipline and requirements.
