Mangostin is a xanthone naturally present in the fruit of the Garcinia mangostana plant, and it is this compound that is the focus of interest in the properties of the mangosteen, so its content must be known.
Unfortunately, many companies do not standardise their mangostin content, because this is more expensive and requires verified quality controls to ensure that all production batches are produced with at least X% mangostin content.
