We are sure that HSN® is your best purchase option and that is why we want to answer any questions you may have.
Actions for sustainability
We are an online company that sells throughout Europe, where research, development and quality shape our philosophy. One example is the certificates for the raw materials we use to manufacture our products.
Within this way of working, we develop environmental measures applied to our manufacturing, packaging, logistics and facilities processes.
Eco-design and responsible packaging
Compostable scoops* and reduction of unnecessary plastic
Compostable scoops* and reduction of unnecessary plastic
At HSN, we work every day to reduce the use of unnecessary plastic in our products. For this reason, in 2022 we gave our customers the choice of whether scoops needed to be included in their purchases of powdered products.
This measure makes it possible to avoid including scoops when the consumer already has one or does not need one.
In addition, since 2023 most of our scoops have been compostable* and 100% biodegradable. Are they still plastic? Yes, PLA is also considered plastic, but it is compostable under certain conditions*.
According to data from Spain’s Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (Miteco), collected in 2022, plastic generates 1,492,739 tonnes of waste, with 868,015 tonnes being recycled. Of this amount, 40% corresponds to plastics used for single-use packaging.
Therefore, reducing environmental impact is in everyone’s hands. At HSN, we are committed to avoiding the inclusion of accessories when they are not necessary.
Discover the policy we follow at HSN regarding the use of plastics and, more specifically, the use of measuring scoops.
*Compostable under industrial composting conditions. Certified according to European standard EN 13432:2000.

Adjusted packaging sizes
We work to adjust all packaging sizes, with the aim of reducing unnecessary material.
Packaging adjusted to consumption and product needs may reduce transport costs and carbon emissions.
In addition, fewer raw materials are consumed in its manufacture, reusing and recycling all components of the system.
Under the supervision of our Quality department, led by Billie Kathleen Eales, we ensure that these compostable materials do not alter product preservation.
Internal management of packaging waste
At our facilities, we work on separating packaging waste generated during the daily activity of the plant, offices and logistics centre.
Leftover materials from the process are classified to facilitate their management through the corresponding channels, according to the type of waste and the applicable treatment possibilities.
This measure forms part of the internal organisation of our processes and helps us maintain greater control over the materials used during manufacturing, preparation and order management.

Logística verde y cadena eficiente
Single chain
At HSN, we develop, manufacture and manage the logistics of a large part of our products from our own facilities.
This allows us to better control each stage of the process, from the selection of raw materials to order preparation, maintaining a more direct and efficient workflow.
Our own model helps us optimise processes, reduce intermediate steps and take greater care of every detail before the product reaches the customer.

From the factory to your home

FSC label on our shipments
All our shipping packaging includes the FSC label, visible on the boxes used to prepare certain orders.
This label identifies materials from sources managed under the criteria of the FSC system, applicable to the specific packaging that includes it.
One more measure within the continuous review of the materials we use in our logistics operations.

Collect your order wherever you prefer
At HSN, you can choose a nearby collection point to receive your order conveniently, flexibly and securely.
This option allows you to collect your purchase when it suits you best, avoid waiting at home and have a practical alternative if you cannot receive the order at your address.
Why choose a collection point?
- You receive your order securely and without waiting at home.
- You earn 50 HSN points with every purchase.
- You can choose a nearby point from the available options.
- You facilitate a more organised delivery by concentrating orders at points enabled by the logistics operator.
When completing your order, select the collection point you prefer and receive your purchase in the way that best suits your routine.
*Collection points may favour grouped deliveries within the carrier’s operations, although the real environmental impact depends on factors such as the route, order volume and the customer’s final journey.
Clean energy and organic range

Photovoltaic solar energy at our facilities
At HSN, we have solar panels installed on the roofs of our facilities, including the factory, offices and logistics centres.
The energy generated helps cover part of the energy needs of our daily activity, reducing dependence on energy from the electricity grid when the installation is producing.
In addition, when the energy generated is not consumed at our facilities, it may be fed into the electricity grid according to the operation of the photovoltaic installation.

Certified organic products
At HSN, we have a selection of certified organic products, identified on their labelling with the corresponding official seal.
This certification verifies that the products included in the certificate comply with the requirements applicable to organic production, including the control of raw materials, processing, storage and distribution.
The entity responsible for the certification is CAAE, a control body specialised in organic certification. This certification helps reinforce traceability and documentary control of the organic products included within the scope of the certificate.

Why are most of our packaging items made of plastic?
As manufacturers of food and food supplements in capsules and powder, our priority is for each product to reach the consumer in suitable conditions of safety, quality and preservation.
In many cases, plastic protects the contents against moisture, external contamination, breakage and other factors that may affect their stability during storage, transport and use.
For this reason, any change of material must be assessed beforehand to ensure that the packaging continues to fulfil its main function: properly protecting the product until it is consumed.
The environmental impact of plastic increases especially when waste is not managed correctly or ends up in the environment. For this reason, at HSN we work to reduce unnecessary material, adjust packaging formats when technically possible and assess alternatives compatible with the safety and preservation of each product.
