EpiCor® – Boost your wellness with an innovative approach
Dried fermented yeast (EpiCor®) 500mg by EssentialSeries is a food supplement in vegetable capsules made from fermented Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast, under specific conditions, patented under the EpiCor® trademark.
EpiCor® is a unique ingredient that sets it apart from any other similar nutrient. The patented nutrients used by Cargill, the company responsible for EpiCor® production, enrich the medium of the well-known yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae and ferment it to generate unique metabolites, which is what makes EpiCor® so special.
If you’re looking for the best post-ferments, try EpiCor® – a perfect supplement for seasonal changes and colder months.

EpiCor®: patented technology for superior quality
EpiCor® is a registered trademark, a patent owned by the manufacturer Cargill.
Cargill is a US company that produces essential food and ingredients for life. As they explain, they began as a grain warehouse in 1865 and have evolved into a link between farmers, markets, and consumers.
As part of their commitment to society, they’ve developed innovative patented ingredients that have revolutionised the market, including EpiCor®.

EpiCor® is a yeast, in fact, a yeast widely used in food production for beer, bread, and other fermented products: Saccharomyces cerevisiae. So, what makes EpiCor different? Its fermentation process.
EpiCor® is fermented in a medium enriched with a patented blend of ingredients that Cargill has combined in specific proportions, under controlled environmental conditions, resulting in the production of specific metabolites in the yeast, transforming ordinary brewer’s yeast into EpiCor®.
500mg of EpiCor® per capsule – High concentration
We’ve developed vegetable capsules containing 500mg of EpiCor®, an optimal dose to make the most of its properties. This high concentration is perfect for reaping the nutritional benefits of dried fermented yeast conveniently, with just 1 capsule a day.
Vegetable capsules: Clean Label and free from unnecessary additives
Part of HSN’s commitment is to give you access to unique food supplements, not only in terms of composition or nutritional benefits, but also regarding the rest of the formulation and control of the manufacturing process.
Among our continuous improvements is the marked reduction in the use of additives. In fact, for many years now, we haven’t used additives for aesthetic purposes in our capsules – no colourants that obscure the coating agent, hiding what’s inside, nor synthetic dyes or lacquers. Our capsules are as transparent as we are.
The EpiCor® dried fermented yeast is no exception, and we’ve only used hydroxypropylmethylcellulose as a plant-based coating agent, and natural rice flour to increase the capsule content volume, ensuring uniform and homogeneous distribution across all production batches.
What is EpiCor® (Dried fermented yeast)?
EpiCor® is a post-ferment ingredient derived from the fermentation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast, commonly known as brewer’s or baker’s yeast. Through a patented fermentation and drying process, it becomes a whole fermented yeast that contains a unique blend of beneficial metabolites, including proteins, peptides, antioxidants, polyphenols, organic acids, nucleotides, and polysaccharides such as beta-glucans.
This complex nutrient profile has been studied in over a dozen published papers, indicating that EpiCor® may have various nutritional effects that are of interest to people needing dietary support. As a non-living yeast that is stable to pH and heat, EpiCor® is perfect for use as a food supplement – and that’s exactly what we’ve done, developing capsules with a high concentration of the patented ingredient.
Why choose EpiCor® over other options?
There are many food supplements with a similar approach to that of EpiCor® dried fermented yeast. For example, you’ll find Immu Glucan, which also uses part of brewer’s yeast – specifically, beta-glucans extracted and standardised to a 75% content in 1,3/1,6 structured beta-glucans.
However, each ingredient has unique characteristics – and so does EpiCor®. Thanks to its fermentation medium and conditions, the resulting fermented brewer’s yeast has a broad profile of metabolites found in no other ingredient in the world.
What to combine it with for maximum effect?
You can combine EpiCor® with Inmu Glucanos – it’s an excellent combination.
