Flaxseed Oil Powder - A healthy ingredient for fitness recipes
Flaxseed Oil Powder by Essentialseries is a food developed with the greatest technological advances, from a natural source of the highest quality: Flaxseed oil obtained by mechanical processes, first cold pressing.
Flax is a well-known plant in the food industry because its seeds are very rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs). They are used as food by adding them to many recipes and preparations such as yoghurts, for example, but the oil is also extracted for cooking, especially for raw use as it is not suitable for heating.
This powdered format is perfect for nutritionally enriching a multitude of recipes, with the advantages of optimal conservation of the oil, the absence of degradation, and the fact that it has no taste.
A high-quality oil powder to take care of your daily nutrition!
Like natural oil but tasteless and without degradation
Extracted from flaxseeds by first cold pressing
The treatment of flax is delicate, because given its high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids, if it is heated or treated with acidic means (a very common practice in the supplementation industry to obtain the cheapest possible raw material), it spoils.
In order to obtain truly high-quality flaxseed oil, it is necessary to take into account that mechanical pressing treatment, that is, the treatment that crushes the flaxseed so that it naturally releases its oil, together with processing conditions based on a cold environment, is ideal.
Many companies do not ensure this, as it implies a financial and resource cost related to the effort and care of the plant that they are not willing to assume.
At HSN we only use the best possible raw materials, which is why we ensure that our flaxseed oil comes from the first pressing of the whole flaxseed, in a cold environment, without any heating treatment.
We obtain a pure, virgin Flaxseed Oil, with all its natural omega content of the highest nutritional quality.
Cold temperature microencapsulation treatment. No degradation
Another delicate stage in the processing of powdered oils is the conversion from oil to powder.
For this, many companies use oil capturing agents and spray drying, preparing a kind of freeze-drying. This is terrible for the oil as it makes its omega-3 content significantly peroxide and ends up having more problems than benefits in terms of its use as a functional food.
At HSN we microencapsulate the oil, that is, we do not alter it, we fractionate the oil into microdroplets that are coated in small particles, so that inside each one of them is the original oil, with all its properties.
Unlike other manufacturers, our microencapsulation system is carried out in the oil treatment plant, in temperature-controlled rooms, following procedures that do not increase the temperature and therefore do not negatively affect its positive properties.
Allergen-free powder format. Free from dairy and glutinous flour
Among the few options for microencapsulated oils on the market, the treatments most commonly chosen by manufacturers are the use of caseins or wheat flours or directly of gluten, to elaborate the microparticles. This has an obvious problem: they are allergenic ingredients.
Our oil is made from a maize derivative, free of genetically modified organisms, which has no allergens such as gluten or dairy.
Flaxseed is a seed rich in fatty acids of the n- (omega) series.
Use it whenever and however you want with complete peace of mind!!
It provides a broad-spectrum high concentration of omega-3 + omega-6 essential fatty acids and contains omega-9
Flaxseed is a seed rich in fatty acids of the n- (omega) series.
Although it is known for its omega-3 fatty acid content, it contains not only vegetable omega-3 but also omega-6 and omega-9 essential fatty acids, which are highly valued.
Fatty acid | Content per 100g of product |
Alpha linolenic acid ALA (Omega-3) | 27700 mg |
Linoleic acid (Omega-6) | 7150 mg |
Oleic acid (Omega-9) | 9000 mg |
Flaxseed oil powder provides 28% of its total content in ALA, 7% in LA and 9% in OA. A full spectrum of high nutritional quality omega fatty acids!
Omega properties of Flaxseed Oil. A food naturally rich in essential fats
The properties of flaxseed oil derive from its fatty acid composition:
- Alpha-linolenic acid helps to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 2 g of this fatty acid.
Linoleic acid has the same property when consumed daily at a rate of at least 10g.
And in general:
- Replacing saturated fats with unsaturated fats in the diet helps to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. Oleic acid is an unsaturated fat.
A full spectrum of healthy fats for blood cholesterol management!
What are the uses of Flaxseed Oil powder? How can i use it in my kitchen?
Flaxseed oil powder can be used for emulsions, it is suitable for the preparation of fat-based sauces as it mixes better than normal oils, as is the case for the preparation of vinaigrettes, for example.
Even so, one of the most common uses is its raw use in soups, creamy soups, and purées.
You only need to add a heaped tablespoon on top of a serving to provide a significant amount of essential fatty acids.
Anyway, your imagination is the limit. Baking with flaxseed oil? Who says no?
For whom is Flaxseed Oil powder recommended?
Because of the cholesterol-lowering properties of the fatty acids in flaxseed oil, it is a suitable food for people on diets low in fish, nuts, and seeds.
It is also highly recommended for people who consume a high amount of animal fats, for example by cooking with butter or eating large amounts of red meat.
