Evobomb - A game-changing pre-workout in an optimized version
Evobomb from SportSeries is a pre-workout formula with sweeteners and stimulants, in powder form; originally developed as a limited edition release, which has stayed on thanks to your requests to keep it in the catalog... Now, with a surprise:
We’ve improved its formula! Welcome to the new Evobomb, with the original essence of the pre-workout initially developed, but updated according to the latest scientific evidence on the use of compounds with ergogenic potential for sports performance1, combinations, dosages, and with a refreshed adjustment of sweetness and the unique acidic punch of its refreshing flavors - Better tasting and more effective than ever!
Evobomb is an ideal pre-workout for morning and afternoon use, we don’t recommend using it close to bedtime since its stimulant content is significant and can interfere with rest in sensitive individuals.
Evobomb composition - Before and now
A simpler, more effective formula, how’s that?
Evobomb originally came about as an idea to create a different pre-workout, with stimulants but with a caffeine dose that wasn’t as high as most options on the market; instead, it featured a high load of compounds known for their interest among athletes, backed by a large volume of scientific research1 over recent decades regarding their nutritional properties in regular exercisers. Such as citrulline, beta-alanine, and tyrosine.
In our formula upgrade, we’ve adjusted the amounts of compounds already present in the pre-workout, increasing the supply of the amino acids mentioned above, and improved the form of tyrosine, switching from NALT to a base L-Tyrosine, which is better suited for a pre-workout formula.
Also, we removed plant extracts that, after reviewing the literature on their properties, we found to be insufficiently characterized or required doses too high to be practical for a well-mixed, good-tasting drink without reducing other more important compounds.
The result? Evobomb, the same as always, but better. Evobomb hasn’t lost its properties, its composition is 100% Evobomb, it hasn’t become a different pre-workout or changed its original approach, it’s just that now its composition is optimal, keeping the original essence that made Evobomb your favorite pre-workout, and if it’s not yet... it’s because you haven’t tried it!
We removed extracts - Better solubility and results
The original Evobomb, in its 'limited edition' formula, contained a moderate amount of Mangifera indica leaf extract and Alpinia galanga root extract; these plants were originally added based on scientific evidence showing potentially positive properties when combined with other formula compounds like caffeine.
Although this effectiveness concept hasn’t changed, plant extracts, especially when not highly concentrated in a specific active compound(s), have very limited miscibility (mixing ability) in water; in other words: Herbal extracts aren’t great partners for instant powders ready to mix with water and drink, because they tend not to mix well, which forces the use of small amounts, negatively affecting their nutritional characteristics.
In Evobomb’s reformulation, we decided to improve the pre-workout’s solubility by removing both plant extracts and keeping only AstraGin®, which meets the requirements to be considered a well-soluble extract at the amounts present in Evobomb.
However, removing these extracts hasn’t meant losing formula properties, as we compensated by increasing the dose of ergogenic compounds with strong scientific backing and research1 regarding their effects. Here’s the scoop!
We doubled Beta-Alanine: Following expert recommendations
The original Evobomb development included 1500 mg of Beta-Alanine.
We used that amount after reviewing dosing guidelines for this amino acid related to its nutritional benefits in athletes, placing it at the lower end of the effective range, avoiding the characteristic tingling sensation caused by this amino acid, and thinking that if someone wants to supplement with more, they can do so using it separately.
However, after reviewing the ISSN Position Stand by Trexler and colleagues, which you can find in the scientific references of this publication, we decided to increase beta-alanine to 4 grams (in our latest version), so if you don’t use extra beta-alanine in your diet, you can still enjoy an average dose within the effective range reported for this compound.
If you’re sensitive to beta-alanine’s tingling effects and were used to the traditional Evobomb formula, you might notice a different level of “tingling” on your skin with the reformulation. This is normal due to the increased Beta-Alanine dose, it’s harmless, temporary, and just a “feeling” without any positive or negative impact on health, sports performance, or any other relevant aspect.
With 35 mg of AstraGin® - Why is it included?
AstraGin® is a blend of extracts from Panax notoginseng and Astragalus membranaceus standardized for saponins, which Evobomb already contained in its '1.0' version, just in smaller amounts, about half of what the renewed version provides.
The reasons for its use come from the raw material developer NuLivScience, motivated by research on the combined use of this patented extract with other compounds typically found in pre-workouts, like beta-alanine:
- Huang, S.-F., Shen, Y.-C., Ou, C.-H., Tang, I.-C., Yang, H.-W., Kao, Y.-T., Chang, W.-L., & Chang, T.-C. (2023). Astragalus membranaceus and Panax notoginseng saponins improves intestinal l-arginine absorption and protects against intestinal disorder in vivo. Food Science and Technology Research, 29(2), 129-140.
Enjoy the full benefits of AstraGin combined with Evobomb’s functional composition for maximum effectiveness!
200 mg of Caffeine - A sufficient and balanced dose
Evobomb provides 200 mg of caffeine per serving.
This can be considered an ideal amount, roughly equivalent to two strong cups of coffee, in a convenient dose to maximize caffeine’s effects on reducing the subjective perception of physical effort (should be consumed at 4 mg/kg body weight about an hour before exercise. Target population: adults doing endurance exercise); and on concentration and alertness (for which 75 mg is needed).
We kept the original caffeine dose because Evobomb wasn’t designed to deliver huge stimulant amounts like other “hardcore” pre-workouts with 300 or 400 mg per serving combined with other alkaloids.
However, its properties aren’t negatively affected; on the contrary, Evobomb’s caffeine dose is more balanced, ideal for people who enjoy caffeine’s positive effects but get similar results with more moderate amounts.
Awesome flavors - 6 different ones!
The blackcurrant flavor is a classic in our catalog, and has been Evobomb’s signature for many years.
But recently, we’ve added new flavors to the formula, with a refreshed taste, sweet and acidic, a contrast that will surprise you.
You can get the classic blackcurrant, but also: mango, apple, lemon, pear, mojito, and orange.
Which one’s yours?
How to take Evobomb - Can I use it Dry-Scoop?
Evobomb is a pre-workout with a normal, typical use for this kind of product.
We recommend taking it before you want that energy punch, usually about 30-60 minutes before training.
Preparation is easy thanks to its solubility, just mix one scoop with 300 ml of water, and you don’t need a shaker or any special tool to mix it, you can simply stir it in a glass with a spoon to get a ready-to-drink mix in seconds.
What about Dry-Scooping?
Dry scooping is a common practice with pre-workouts.
At HSN, we usually don’t recommend it because you don’t get to enjoy the product’s flavor properly, it can cause choking, and you need to be careful taking it this way; but yes, it’s possible to use Evobomb dry scooping.
Basically, it means taking the usual pre-workout dose you’d mix with water, but dry, as powder directly into your mouth. Often followed by drinking a generous amount of water to swallow it properly.
Dry scooping is faster and many users say it’s more comfortable or that they feel the pre-workout effects more intensely this way; at HSN we recommend the traditional method, but if you’re a dry scoop user, you can use Evobomb like that.
