What is the HSN Mask?

HSN Mask by HSNaccesories is a facial textile accessory that covers the mouth, nose and chin. It's fitted with two lateral elastic cords for support and its internal filter fabric meets the acceptance criteria set out in the UNE 0065:2020 technical specifications.

The HSN Mask is made from two layers of fabric:

• An external layer of 100% customised polyester printed with our unique HSN design.
• An internal layer of 80% polyester/20% polyamide with fabric certified by Aitex^® and conforming with the UNE:0065:2020 standard.

Why buy the HSN Mask?

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Spanish government published the SDN/354/2020' regulation, April 19, establishing exceptional measures to ensure public access to products recommended for use as hygiene measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Filtration and Breathability

The acceptance criteria for reusable hygiene masks set numerical cutting values for the tissue from which reusable hygiene masks are made.

The internal filter liner of the HSN^® mark complies with the acceptance criteria of:

•  Filtration efficiency by BFE test.
•  Breathability determined by differential pressure.

The tests have been carried out and the fabric is certified by the AITEX^® Textile Technology Institute.

Material without risk of irritation

Another critical feature for determining the quality of a hygienic mask according to UNE standards, is that the material in contact with the skin does not present known risks of irritation or adverse health effects.

The fabric has Standard 100 certification by Oeko-Tex^®. It is the world-leading eco-label for textile products that have been evaluated and certified by internationally recognised institutes. This certification assures the consumer that the textile products have been tested for harmful substances.

Made completely according to UNE standards

Not only do the characteristics of the fabric comply with the standardisation of the norms, but the mask itself does too, which has also been made according to these norms.

The dimensions of the mask have been developed according to the measurements for cutting and making the 'adults for over 12 years'.

It has standardised dimensions on the ear harnesses, made with elastic material bands of 21cm.

The re-usable hygiene masks must be able to withstand at least 5 washing and drying cycles according to the UNE 0065:2020 specification. The Aitex^® filter material tests have been carried out before the first washing and drying cycle and after the fifth:

How to use HSN Mask?

The use of the mask is simple and only the following steps should be followed carefully.

It is recommended to place the mask directly on the skin without textile intermediaries.

1. Wash your hands with soap and water, or, alternatively, with sanitiser, before using the mask.
2. Identify the top of the mask.
3. Position the mask over the face, at nose level. Adjust the nose clip slightly. Hold the mask from the outside and secure the fastener behind the mask with our HSN Ear Saver, or on either side of the ears.
4. Lower the lower part of the mask to the chin, and check that the mask covers the chin.
5. Pinch the nose clip with both hands to adjust it to the nose.

How to handle the mask

The mask can be washed at temperatures up to 60ºC, and ironed up to a maximum of 110ºC. Do not apply bleach, tumble dry or dry clean to preserve its properties.
