CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) by EssentialSeries is a food supplement in softgel form, based on conjugated linoleic acid in a lipid medium.
Linoleic acid, a long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid of the omega-6 (C18:2) conjugated series, changes its chemical configuration, shifting the first unsaturation to carbon 9 or 10 depending on its isomerism.
CLA refers to a positional and geometric group of linoleic acid isomers characterised by the presence of conjugated dienes (alkadienes/dialkenes). CLA is a naturally occurring, but minor, compound of ruminant animal fats present in the human diet mainly in meat and dairy products.

The form of CLA used for the development of our product is the one that has been used in most human intervention studies for the evaluation of its effects.
The CLA configuration is established on the basis of an equimolar concentration of c9, t11 and t10, c12 isomers.
CLA softgels have been developed from neutral gelatine and are flavourless.
The capsule content is based almost entirely on safflower seed oil extract standardised in CLA.
The softgel glazing agent makes the product easier to use.
