The barbecue sauce is a historic sauce of the American continent and is known to have been created around the 17th century by the colonies. Its success among the colonial population was such that it soon spread to European countries, and later, to the whole world; it is currently one of the most internationally consumed sauces, with many inspirations and adaptations based on consumer tastes, but with a common consideration: The BBQ from Kansas is the sauce we are all accustomed to in the West.
Made with a base of smoked tomato concentrate, the Kansas City Style BBQ sauce is an incredible recipe with intense umami flavor, with a high sugar content in its preparation since white sugar is usually added during the process. There are versions of this sauce, like the classic honey recipe used to soften the classic smoked flavor, but all commercial barbecue sauces currently on the market derive from the Kansas recipe.
At HSN, we have transformed the traditional barbecue recipe into Fit, since sugar, although the base of the traditional preparation, is dispensable for preparing quality barbecue, as long as a good tomato and a good smoked aroma are used. We have replaced the sugar in the sauce with calorie-free sweeteners, specifically a mix of sucralose and stevia.

We have Fit BBQ Sauce in our catalog, a delicious sauce with an authentic smoked Barbecue flavor from Kansas, but with a more Texan (Texas) inspiration of spicier taste and intense smoke flavor, intense Barbecue lovers adore it, but there are people looking for a milder version, and more combinable with other types of food besides meats.
We have listened to you! And we launch our version with a softened flavor (with honey), inspired by the classic BBQ recipe, but with a more reduced umami and spicy flavor, in addition to the presence of honey aroma that also reduces the intensity of the natural taste of the Barbecue sauce, without adding sugars.

Good consistency - Say goodbye to zero sauces with little density
One of the most common problems with Fit sauces is that many companies to make the sauce as 'zero' as possible, only use additives, aromas, and water. This results in a very unappetizing sauce, who hasn't used zero liquid sauces that are not pleasant and end up being thrown away before finishing them?

- The content of sugars is less than 5%, which means a consumption of just half a gram of sugar per serving of the sauce.
- It contains no fats, since as the Barbecue sauce does not need a source of lipids to emulsify the base, we have not added oils or butters.

Quality ingredients - More natural and with fewer additives
At HSN we use high-quality ingredients, as in the conception of our sauces we have rejected the classic preparation based on water and aromas, which ends up resulting in a calorie-free sauce, but of poor quality, with bad taste.
Instead we have used natural foods, like tomato concentrate, which corresponds to a third of the total of our Fit Barbecue sauce, vinegar, and spices.
We have used ingredients like those you can use at home, to prepare a traditional barbecue sauce; and yes, we add a preservative because our BBQ sauce is kept for months before its first opening, and after it, it still lasts 4 more weeks; to be able to improve the use and practicality of the sauce.
The sweeteners used are present in small amounts and are not only completely safe but are also completely calorie-free, the best possible substitute for the large amounts of sugar that are added to traditional barbecues.
And instead of adding honey, to not contribute to the increase in the sugar content of the product, we have added a honey aroma, which achieves the same result in terms of flavor, without adding unnecessary calories.

We have reduced the use of plastic in our packaging
At HSN we have improved the packaging of our sauces, reducing their size; and now our containers are cylindrical, adapted for a more comfortable and practical use, as well as for more efficient storage taking up less volume both in cupboards and in the fridge.
We have reduced the net content of plastic used for our packaging, thus contributing to a reduction in the unnecessary use of potentially polluting materials, in our products.
And 100% of the packaging is recyclable, you just have to throw the container in the yellow bin once our sauce is finished. It's that easy!
