With an Extra Caffeine Kick to Energise You!
The instant coffee used to make our CaféFitConQ is not decaffeinated, meaning it naturally contains caffeine. However, the process of making it instant reduces the caffeine content. While this is not a drawback, it may not always meet the product’s intended goals depending on the user.
In this case, we’ve ensured that the caffeine content in the instant coffee is sufficient for regular enjoyment. Still, for those who want to use it as a stimulating pre-workout drink, the natural caffeine level might fall short.
This is why we’ve added a small amount of extra caffeine, just enough to reach 150mg of caffeine per cup, or 50mg of caffeine per 100ml, which is closer to the caffeine content of a traditional, non-instant coffee.
Enjoy the added caffeine boost in our protein coffee, without sacrificing the convenience of instant coffee or the effects of traditional coffee stimulants.
Hot or Cold? It’s Up to You!
Most people enjoy coffee hot, but if you’re someone who loves iced coffee, no matter the season, Paloma Quintana and HSN’s Protein Coffee is perfect for you.
We recommend using warm liquid, preferably hot, but not boiling, to mix the coffee. Why?
Because protein powder mixes better in lukewarm liquids. If the liquid is too hot, it can damage the protein powder’s texture (though not its nutritional properties), making it difficult to mix. Instant coffee also dissolves better in hot than in cold liquids.
So, our recommendation is to heat water, milk, or plant-based milk to a hot temperature where you can comfortably hold the cup without burning yourself. Then, add the protein coffee.
Once prepared, you can enjoy it your way:
- Cold? Easy, once mixed, add ice or refrigerate it, and enjoy it at your preferred temperature. In fact, we’ve even tried “slushing” the coffee, and it works surprisingly well.
- Hot? You can heat it further once it’s mixed into a homogeneous drink. The protein is no longer affected by heat at this stage, so you can warm it as much as you like.
Beyond Enjoyment - Adding It to Your Routine
You can prepare a cup of Protein Coffee at any time of the day. However, since it contains caffeine, we recommend avoiding it close to bedtime if you’re sensitive to caffeine, as it might interfere with your sleep.
Have it in the morning as your regular coffee or as a pre-workout drink. There’s no special consideration required to add this coffee to your diet – just enjoy it!
