Made from the finest raw material turmeric root extract
Turmeric is a plant that is highly appreciated all over the world, both for its culinary applications internationally and in all types of cuisines, from an absolute presence in regions such as India and the United Arab Emirates, to its use as a condiment in the West.
In addition to its culinary value, turmeric root is very rich in specific polyphenols, called curcuminoids, including the famous curcumin, which are the focus of current scientific research into the properties of turmeric extract.
Our extract is 50 times more concentrated, which is of great value in food supplements because the 600mg of turmeric root extract it provides per dose is not 600mg of turmeric, but the equivalent of 30 grams of native turmeric root.
And the standardisation process ensures a minimum curcuminoid content of 95%, so that the recommended daily dose of our supplement provides a net total of 570mg of curcuminoids.
We use the best raw materials for guaranteed effectiveness in our food supplements. It's not just trust, it's science and quality control.
Guaranteed supply of natural piperine from black pepper extract (BioPerine®)
Black pepper extract is a key aspect that should be present in products that market turmeric or its extracts for functional (and not culinary) purposes, as the curcuminoids in turmeric are rapidly degraded once ingested.
It is the piperine present in black pepper that increases the bioavailability of these curcuminoids, and as a raw material, Sabinsa's BioPerine® is the benchmark:

The reference dose for increasing the bioavailability of compounds such as curcuminoids, according to Sabinsa's registered patent, is 5mg piperine on average.
Our supplement provides 6mg of piperine, an effective amount to take advantage of the effects of this compound on the metabolism of curcuminoids.
Bromelain 2500 Gelatine Degradation Units/g - Guaranteed high physiological activity
Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme, while many companies market synthetic bromelain, which is generated in a laboratory, our bromelain is natural, coming from the stem of the pineapple, a highly concentrated natural source of this enzyme.
The way to measure the amount of effective bromelain depends not only on the mass 'quantity' (mg) but also on the biological activity of the bromelain.
There are many ways to measure this, many companies use metrics that are 'fudged' because they are not useful, but allow very large numbers to be displayed on their labelling. In our case, we have a fully transparent policy, and follow the reference codes of the Food Codex, which establishes the reference unit of measurement of GDU/g (Gelatine Degradation Units per gram).
Our natural bromelain from pineapple extract has a high functional activity which is significant at the 500mg dose provided. Its absolute activity is 2500GDU/g.
A single dose of Turmeric Extract and Bromelain Plus provides a total of 1250 Gelatin Degradation Units.
It provides 200mg of NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine) - High concentration per unit
NAC is a type of amino acid derived from cysteine, sbut its nutritional characteristics differ significantly from L-Cysteine as such; N-Acetyl-Cysteine is much more appreciated in food supplement formulas that do not rely on the supply of base amino acids, such as this one.
The recommended dose provides 200mg of N-Acetyl-Cysteine, an adequate and effective concentration.
Don't miss out on HSN's unique formula!
With selenium in organic form (Selenomethionine) and Vitamin D in D3 form. High bioavailability High bioavailability
The unique composition of our formula could not be limited to being incomplete, so we added selenium and vitamin D, but not in any form.
Many companies take advantage of the confusion in formulations, where attention is not paid to the presentation of micronutrients, to provide them in low-quality forms.
At HSN we consider this practice to be an opaque tool and outright deception, which is why we reject it outright, and we are in favour of always using the best possible forms of micronutrients.
In this case, the vitamin D we use is not ergocalciferol (D2) but cholecalciferol, a true vitamin D3 of the highest bioavailability.
And selenium is not just any inorganic form of selenite, but an organic form: Selenomethionine, a complex of selenium + amino acid methionine, with much better absorption, metabolisation and retention in the body.
Both micronutrients are present in significant amounts to take advantage of all the positive properties these compounds provide.
In vegetable capsules - Vegan formula suitable for all types of diets
At HSN we follow a criterion of 'nutritional compatibility'. We have wondered 'why, when the compounds in a formula can be plant-based, are we going to use animal-based compounds?'
We have also applied this criterion to capsules, not only to raw materials that are active ingredients, but also to one of the most common technological agents in the industry: coatings.
Our vegetable glazing, derived from natural plant cellulose, is hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and therefore our capsules are vegetable. Making the formula a natural, vegan and GMO-free supplement.
