PABA 500mg - A classic compound, now in isolated form
PABA (Para-Aminobenzoic Acid) 500mg by EssentialSeries is a food supplement in vegetable capsules made with high-purity para-aminobenzoic acid, combined with zinc citrate.
PABA (Para-Aminobenzoic Acid) is closely related to the water-soluble B-complex vitamins, although it is not considered an essential vitamin. It is naturally found in foods such as liver, whole grains, and yeast. Its use as a dietary supplement has gained popularity in recent years due to its relationship with folic acid and its role in the body.
PABA 500mg is an ideal supplement to the multivitamins and multiminerals in your daily routine.

500mg of PABA: why this amount?
PABA is naturally present in some foods and in the body, but only in very small amounts. Its use as a dietary supplement has been explored in various scientific studies, and the 500mg dose has been used in different studies to assess its potential and properties. This 500mg dose is the most consistent and allows for a significant intake of the nutrient, which is why we have chosen it for our product.
The choice of 500mg per vegetable capsule makes it easy to incorporate, as just one capsule provides the full daily amount required, ensuring a simple and convenient intake. Additionally, since it comes in capsule form, there is no need to measure or weigh the amount used. Thanks to our precision weighing system, you get complete assurance of accurate PABA dosing in every capsule.
In vegetable capsules: suitable for vegans and free from unnecessary additives
At HSN, we maintain a practical approach to dietary supplements based on:
- Helping you get what your body needs.
- Absence of excess elements you don’t specifically look for.
- Properly balanced and well-formulated compositions.
- Using the highest quality raw materials and a fully controlled manufacturing process.
Sounds obvious, right? At HSN, we work to help you improve your lifestyle and healthy habits. And while it seems straightforward, not all companies follow this philosophy. Our PABA:
- Is vegan: unlike most encapsulated products on the market, we use plant-based coating agents instead of lowering costs with animal gelatin capsules, as we don’t want to make a naturally vegan compound like PABA unsuitable just because of the capsule coating.
- Contains no unnecessary additives: additives, in our view, serve a purpose: to help maintain the product in good condition, prevent clumping, and extend shelf life. We understand that your kitchen cupboard might not have the most stable storage conditions. That’s why we use only the bare minimum necessary to keep the product in optimal condition throughout its shelf life, with some flexibility in storage. But nothing more—we don’t use opacifiers, colourants, flavourings, or other aesthetic additives in our capsules.
- Contains no allergens: because we choose raw materials free from allergens and cross-contamination. We take this very seriously and avoid allergenic ingredients in our formulations.
Formula with Zinc to enhance its action
We've added zinc to the composition of PABA 500mg because it is an essential mineral that plays a key role in various biological functions. Among the different forms in which it can be used as a supplement, we have chosen zinc citrate for its high bioavailability, meaning the body can absorb it efficiently.
The inclusion of zinc in the formula is based on its multiple benefits for the body, as it contributes to:
- Normal fertility and reproduction.
- The maintenance of healthy skin, nails, and hair.
- The normal function of the immune system.
- The protection of cells against oxidative stress.
PABA: what is it and where is it found?
PABA is a compound that belongs to the group of nutrients associated with the B-complex vitamins. Although not considered an essential vitamin, it is naturally present in certain foods and in the human body, where it plays roles in various physiological processes. Its inclusion as a dietary supplement provides this compound in more significant and controlled amounts than through regular diet alone.
In food, PABA is found in small amounts in certain sources, such as liver, whole grains, eggs, and some vegetables. However, its presence in modern diets is limited due to food processing and Western eating habits, which reduce the intake of PABA-rich sources. For this reason, many people looking to benefit from PABA’s nutritional properties consider supplementation as a practical and convenient option.
Our PABA 500mg capsule format offers you an optimal alternative, making it easy to dose without relying solely on food intake. If you don’t meticulously track your dietary PABA content and adjust your diet accordingly, it’s more convenient and effective to ensure your intake with a food supplement. This way, PABA supplementation becomes the most practical method of ensuring an optimal intake of this nutrient, as it is not always consumed in significant amounts through food alone.
Which HSN products contain PABA?
At HSN, we already had products containing this compound, specifically in a 50mg dose in our B-50 Complex product.
B-50 Complex is a B-complex water-soluble vitamin supplement containing 50 milligrams/micrograms (depending on the vitamin), enriched with PABA due to its relationship with these compounds.
Although the 50mg dose in this product is a significant and ideal addition to the formula, it is relatively low when taken as a standalone PABA supplement. This is why we decided to launch a dietary supplement featuring PABA as the main ingredient, with a higher dose.
Which other compounds can it be combined with?
If you are familiar with B-50 Complex and were pleased to find PABA available as a separate dietary supplement—because you were looking for both the benefits of B-complex vitamins and PABA in higher concentrations—you can now combine it with Ultra B-Complex to create a high-concentration B-complex with PABA.
PABA also pairs well with other compounds such as Coenzyme Q10, Pyrroloquinoline Quinone, or NADH.
It is also complementary to vitamins, especially water-soluble ones, and particularly vitamin B9, which can be found in Calcium Methylfolate. It can also be combined with Methylcobalamin in the Methyl B9+B12 product.
